While practicing Reiki you might have come across specific "guides" or spirits that work with Reiki and individual practitioners. Most people prefer to call them as "Ascendant Masters", "Spirits", or "Guides". It is a belief that is so strong, that Reiki doers feel that Reiki Guides actually do the Attunements and facilitate treatments. They believe that there are spiritual helpers, guides and assistance all around them, and within them. A spiritual guide is the energy that one evokes by asking for help or assistance. This evoked energy than chooses a pathway of communication and offers advice and suggestions on your path forward. It allows you to make choices that support you growth and directs it towards a more positive and a better life.
Reiki guides are an official Reiki II Traditional phenomenon. It is after you have completed your Reiki II training that you experience these ‘guides’ around you, who help you or assist you. Most people who have undergone training up to Reiki II believe that they see, feel or intuit the presence of Beings in the room. Most often we hear the client’s claiming that they felt presence of one or more sets of hands on them, while someone is doing Reiki, received messages or heard voices that directed them towards positive solutions. This feeling that a Reiki practitioner gets is the ‘Reiki spirit’ or the ‘Reiki guide’. This feeling becomes more pronounced when the practitioner practices consciously by calling in Reiki Guides, ‘Angels’ or ‘Spirits’. Reiki practitioners claim to have felt the presence of Jesus, Mary, Kuan Kin, Shiva, St. Germaine, Archangels Michael, Gabriel, and various Bodhisattvas.
While this feeling remains debated, many Reiki practitioners have reported to have felt increased or a heightened sense of seeing (clairvoyance), hearing (clairaudience), smelling or feeling (clairsentience). Those who are clairvoyant report seeing the room filled with Guides, those who are clairaudients report hearing messages and sound and those who are clairsentient have experienced support while healing. In short these ‘Spirits’ or ‘Guides’ invoked work as guides, advisors or spiritual counselors. They guide the healer and also boost the power of Reiki to ten folds to bring about great results and higher healing.
Just by being in the Reiki level II, you will not be able to communicate and heal through spirits. It takes practice and perseverance, to develop intuitive abilities to sense spirit guides through Reiki techniques. You will have to consciously learn to listen to the voice that resides in you. You will have to grasp this voice by listening attentively. The voice can guide you in the most correct way, so you will have to listen consciously and attentively in order to correctly guide or heal your client. Progressively by developing your Reiki techniques, sharpening your skills and with continuous and regular practice you may be able to achieve this experience of sharing your wisdom with the spirit guides.
How do these guides really look like? Well, practitioners have claimed to have seen them in many forms that resemble human, animals, angels, swirling masses of energy, spheres of light, glittering sparks of light, etc. They have been perceived as physical sensations upon the person’s skin as a pulse, tingle or a kind of a discomfort in the healer’s body or in form of words that flow from your mouth, a prayer, song, message, rhythm or as a scent, aroma, color. Well in any form, guiding you correctly to heal your client. Grow towards a better life, bring Reiki guides into your life.
